Cross hatch adhesion testers
Employed to perform adhesion related evaluations on single and/or multi layer coating Comprising a grip and a metallic head. The latter featuring 6 up to 11 blades, with a 1, 2 or 3mm spacing. According to said parameters the head shall evaluate adhesion in several types of coating within the following ranges 0 and 60μm, 60 and 120μm or 120 and 250μm. measurement is performed by having the head run twice onto a sample surface, in such a way so to have orthogonal runs, so each coating is cut into small squares. By comparing after test, coating conditions against a standard international chart, degree of adhesion is assessed. In order to help the operator and keep track of the test, a magnifier and a transparent adhesion tape are used. Used in any industrial process involving painting and coating procedures. Compliant to standards: BS 3900 E6 - BS/EN ISO 2409 - ASTM D 3359 - GB/T 9286.
